Any ERM member is eligible to be a candidate for any of the elected offices. Appointed officers ae named by the chair.
The Executive Board meets at the ASEE Conference and at the FIE Conference.
Actions by the Executive Board are reported at the Annual Business Meeting of the Division, held at the ASEE Conference. Any major policy decisions are also presented there for consideration by the membership.
The Executive Board Structure is as follows:
Chairman - elected in odd numbered years for a two year term
Secretary-Treasurer - elected in even numbered years for a two year term
Program Chair for Annual ASEE Conference - appointed by the Chairman
Program Chair for Annual FIE Conference - appointed by the Chairman
Vice-President of Publications - appointed by the Executive Board
Newsletter Editor - appointed by the Chairman
Ben Dasher and Helen Plants committee chairs - appointed by the Chairman
National Effective Teaching Institute (NETI) Director - appointed by the Chairman
Four Directors -elected (two every year for a two year term)
Two Directors at Large - appointed by the Chairman for one year term
Ben Dasher Committee - appointed by the Chairman
Helen Plants Committee - appointed by the Chairman
Nominating Committee - appointed by the Chairman
AFG Committee - appointed by the Chairman
FIE Steering Committee - appointed by the Chairman
Distinguished Service Committee - appointed by the Chairman
